MY BIO

I’m an experienced professional based on the Eastern End of Long Island in New York. With an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and an MA in Government from Johns Hopkins, I apply my rigorous love of learning and curiosity to all my endeavors. Currently, my attention is focused on two aspects of humanity- educating fellow Americans about the importance of civic education through community involvement and protecting the magic and wonder of nature and childhood through picture books for ages 3 - 8.  My children, the beautiful beaches and forests, and my local community are where I find my optimism and inspiration.

When I am not focusing on others, I like to swim in cold water, write haiku, and read all kinds of books.
